About Us
The School of Creative Arts Graduate Showcase Website was designed and built by an interdisciplinary team of QUT students as a curatorial and technical workplace learning project.
Rather than simply showcase finished work, the project aimed to explore how a digital platform can present the breadth and diversity of SoCA's disciplines—from performance and film to visual arts and creative writing. The end design aims to balance the unique qualities of each of the 9 study areas while also bringing them together under a common design.
The website serves as both archive and exhibition, documenting completed projects as well as the experimental processes that shaped them. In building this platform, students engaged with questions central to contemporary practice: how we present creative work, who we're speaking to, and what the spaces between disciplines reveal.
We would like to thank Ella Mars, designer at La Boite Theatre for their feedback and suggestions which have had a formative influence on the shape of the website.
